Connecting a device to the Fitabase Engage app for use with the Garmin SDK is straightforward, but you may occasionally run into issues during setup.
Below are some ways you can approach the problem and get started with collecting data sooner:
- Restart your phone and your Garmin device. A simple restart often resolves Bluetooth pairing and connectivity issues between the phone and the wearable.
- Toggle Bluetooth off then back on for both your phone and your Garmin device. This forces the devices to re-establish their connection.
- Uninstall and reinstall the Fitabase Engage app. This clears any cached configuration that may be causing issues.
Important: Uninstalling the app
If a participant uninstalls and reinstalls the Fitabase Engage app, they will need a new enrollment code to rejoin the project. Make sure you are able to generate and share a new code with them before suggesting this step.
